Family Cinco de Mayo Celebration
A family celebration sounds like a little slice of heaven right about now! In the spirit of creating traditions and memories with our families, we rounded up some of our favorite sweet and simple ways for celebrating Cinco de Mayo with kids.
1 \ Make a homemade Papel Picado for cheerful decor.
2 \ Turn on your favorite party music. Try out our May Edition of Turtle Tunes to get your dance party started!
3 \ Make fresh fruit mocktails for the whole family.
4 \ Make a Paper Bag Piñata filled with alllll the sweets for fun and festive dessert.
5 \ Make your favorite Mexican cuisine for dinner. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas are all great options. Katie’s family favorite is Build-Your Own Burrito Bowls. Line up all your favorite ingredients - ours includes rice, beans, steak or chicken, pico de gallo, - And everyone gets to build their own bowl to their liking. It’s always a crowd pleaser, just don’t forget the chips and queso! Here’s a simple recipe to try out.
